RYAN BERNIER

...is a FloGrown actor, director and sketch comedy writer who has recently made the move to Detroit, MI as a member of Wayne State MFA Acting Cohort of 2023. He has worked on stages all across the swamps of Florida as well as a plethora of cornfields in the Midwest. Some of his favorite shows have included Stupid F**king Bird (Dev), Julius Caesar (Antony), and Psycho Beach Party (Starcat).

In addition to his work on stage, he has proud to have been the head writer for Creative Loafing's 'Best of The Bay' award winning sketch show "Some Sort of Show". Ryan was also fortunate enough to serve as the Associate Artistic Director for ThinkTank Theatre, Tampa's professional theatre for young audiences. During his time with ThinkTank, he directed The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, Around the World in 80 Days, and debuted his original work N.Y.Sewer Gator at the first ever Kid's Fringe! produced by the Tampa International Fringe Festival.

When not in side of a theatre, you can usually find Ryan watching terrible movies with his cat, wearing a mask, and being socially distant. It's the responsible thing to do!

"Ryan Bernier tackles the two sides of Ruben’s psyche flawlessly, as he allows the meekness to give way to something much more sinister."

Rion Sabean/Bones

"Ryan Bernier, the show's brightest element, stars as D'artagnan, a naive dispossessed nobleman in 17th-century France who dreams of joining the elite Musketeers of the Guard but gets mugged before he reaches Paris."

Andrew Meacham/The Three Musketeers

My favorite in the show is Ryan Bernier as Dev. Bernier has never been better; he's always strong whenever I've seen him onstage, but in STUPID F**KING BIRD he takes the show and runs away with it. His comic timing could not be better. He's so likably awkward that we root for him throughout. It's quite a strong cast, but Bernier emerges as the one I recall most fondly.

Peter Nason/Stupid Fucking Bird

...and as the naïve victim of her machinations, Ryan Bernier displays a likable, open-faced innocence.

Mark Leib/Psycho Beach Party

Simon Mainwaring

"Effectively, change is almost impossible without industry-wide collaboration, cooperation and consensus."
